What this school has done for our sons will stay with our family for a lifetime…

Seng Kwan family

My eldest son, Seng Kwan, was diagnosed with dyslexia when he was young, and for many years, learning was a great challenge for him — especially in a government school where he had to navigate three languages at once. Upon discovering this, we, as parents, made the decision to change his learning environment without hesitation. That is when we enrolled him at TLS in 2017.

As a parent, nothing is more painful than watching your child struggle and quietly wondering whether he will ever find his confidence.

After joining the school, we witnessed a remarkable transformation in him. The teachers did not simply see him as a child with learning difficulties — instead, they were patient, understanding, and genuinely encouraging. They guided him with great care and dedication, never once giving up on him. With their unwavering support, our son gradually found his footing, grew in confidence, and worked hard to overcome his challenges.

Seeing such meaningful progress, and trusting in the school’s nurturing environment, we enrolled our second child at TLS in 2019. He will be graduating this year. The school has allowed both our boys to grow not only academically, but also as individuals — and we could not be more proud. Our eldest son went on to score 7A*s and 2Bs in his IGCSE examinations in 2024, a result that once felt like a distant dream.

We are truly grateful for the effort, commitment, and compassion of every teacher and staff member who played a part in shaping our two boys into the people they are today.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. What this school has done for our sons will stay with our family for a lifetime, and TLS will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

With gratitude,
Connie Then
A Proud TLS Parent
