Job Summary: TLS International School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics and Additional Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in both Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, contributing to the development of our students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Delivery:
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Assessment: 
    • Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Classroom Management:
    •  Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and conducive learning environment.
  • Student Support
    • Offer additional support and guidance to students who require extra help, including organising remedial classes if needed.
  • Professional Development: 
    • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
  • Collaboration: 
    • Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Extracurricular Activities: 
    • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events to promote a well-rounded educational experience.
  • Parental Communication: 
    • Collaborate with the Principal regularly to inform parents or guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
  • School Policies:
    • Adhere to and enforce school policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the secondary school level.
  • Experience with Additional Mathematics is highly desirable.

Skills:   - Strong knowledge of the Mathematics IGCSE curriculum and current pedagogical strategies.   - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   - Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning.   - Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.   - Strong organisational and time management skills. Preferred Attributes: - Familiarity with the IGCSE program. - Proven track record of fostering student engagement and achievement. - Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development. - Passion for inspiring a love of mathematics in students.
